Well, unfortunately, I have a story to tell...

On April 22, 2024 our foster was on his way home from Waco, he was driving through a dirt road that he take as a short cut to get to another highway, where he feed a pup that was also dumped... As he’s coming to the end of this road, coming over a little hill and he sees this beautiful pittie running towards his truck, nervous, scared and excited... He’s almost positive she had just been dumped right before he drove up...

He stopped and called a friend who works for a local rescue in the county he lives in to see if there was any way she would be able to help... She was crying as saying "please don't leave me here"... It broke his heart, but needed to see if she would be able to help, he had no room for more kennels...

But there was no way he was going to leave this beautiful girl... With no plan in place, hoping that his friend would be able to find a foster, he got her in his truck and took her home... 

This is where her story angers us and I'm sure it'll upset others... The following day his friend went to scan her for a chip... 99% of the time, they don't have one... This girl who we named Ellie, had a chip... She got on it right away... We were hoping that she was lost and not dumped, but unfortunately we're in the county and pitties are always dumped...

The chip came back to Waco humane society... His friend was very upset, she right away knew it was a foster that was dumped and to make matters worst, she was unaltered... She immediately called Waco Humane and was told that the foster had reported her lost... So on October 15, 2023 they just labeled her as missing... No further investigation, no missing posters, no efforts made in trying to find her, that was the only note in her file... 

He lives about 30+ miles northwest of Waco, that's where he found her... So, we made the decision that she will not be going back to Waco because she was going to be Euthanized... There's more... The 3rd day after he found her, his friend calls him to tell him that 4 days prior to him finding her, she had received an email from a lady in Morgan, Texas, which is about another 25-30 miles northwest from his location, making about 60 miles from Waco... This lady had stated in her email that she wanted to turn in a pup... When his friend opened up the pictures, it was Ellie... his friend immediately called that individual to get information, and she stated that Ellie had shown up to her property and couldn't keep her... She then stated that a neighbor said they would find a home for her... But they didn't, they drove that far to dump her in a back road with very little traffic... ..  

Fast forward to late May, he noticed she was getting a little bigger. A trip to the vet confirmed that she was pregnant with 8 puppies. The puppies were born on June 10, 2024. She had 8 healthy and beautiful puppies who were all adopted in September 2024…

Now it’s time for Ellie bean to find her forever home… If you’re looking for a professional cuddler, well she is it… She loves to cuddle and does not get tired of it… Despite what she’s been put through, she’s full of love and not afraid to show it…
